The Schtick

Angelo’s restaurant is an all time Ann Arbor student favorite that has become widely popular for families, alumni and well – everyone who knows about it. It’s a tiny little breakfast place open from 6 a.m. – 3 p.m., but could stay open for business easily until 10 p.m. or later. Their famous breakfast menu is a must have, and you can even order it to go! Angelo’s is not in the heart of downtown Ann Arbor, so you’ll miss all the hustle and bustle of Main St., but it is a great stop and a must have!

Do's & Don'ts

DO arrive early on a Sunday morning. I’m talking about 8 a.m. early for breakfast, and expect a long line anytime any time afterwards. Don’t be shocked when the line curves around the block, this is pretty standard.

DO order anything that comes with/on/side of raisin bread – this is their specialty!

DON’T be turned off by the parking situation. Their parking lot is very small, and sometimes parking in Ann Arbor can generally be difficult to find. There are a few small lots around the surrounding streets (Catherine, Huron, E. Ann, Glen) so try and do a few circles before giving up.

We also like their pancakes. Three dinner plate size pancakes of your choice, ranging from $5.25-$6.75. Cut the order in half for two pancakes if you don’t think you can eat them all.

Order up some Deep Fried French Toast on raisin bread. Reminiscent of mom’s homemade French toast from Friday night’s challah? You bet!
