They are also known for their unique monthly drink, which includes selections varying from Captain Morgan’s and cider to Jack Daniels and Coke.
The Library Pub also features large screen TV’s perfect for watching any sports game, and also has live entertainment, Karaoke nights and Trivia – make sure to check the monthly calendar on their website for updates and upcoming events!
Rosie O’Grady’s
Voted “Best New Bar” by Real Detroit Weekly (Alternative Weekly) and “Best Sports Bar” by Metro Times (Alternative Weekly) in 2010, Rosie O’Grady’s has risen to one of the tops spots to go on game nights and weekends for young adults – and adults of all ages. Aside from their fantastic lunch and dinner menu, Rosie O’Grady’s hosts a state of the art facility that houses over 100 High Definition Flat Screen TV’s that carry all the premium sports packages, such as, Big Ten Network, NFL Ticket, Mega March Madness, Fox Soccer Plus. Can you think of a better place to be on um…. ANY GAME NIGHT?
Rosie O’Grady’s also has a private party room, DJ and dance floor – making this a great hot spot for a fun night out! It’s right in the heart of Ferndale too, so well within walking distance to a few other bars downtown.
BlackFinn Restaurant & Saloon
It’s a trendy chic club with a great bar – make that two bars- dance floor, a small restaurant and private party room. What’s also really great about Black Finn is that it’s a mere 5-10 minute walk from downtown and very close to many other bars and restaurants in the area if you want to split up your night.
Somewhere down the line, however, the crowd at Black Finn shifted and there are a severe number of 50+ males lingering around the bar (which can be slightly creepy)… Hey, if he wants to buy you a cocktail, bottoms up…!
Roast
There is a lot to love about a place that accepts online reservations, and is single-handedly developing a cocktail culture in Detroit, with all cocktails hand-crafted by mixologists Travis Fourmot and Brian Vollmer. The entire experience is sensual, from the subtle lighting to the natural wood floors, and the granite accents on the walls. The floral arrangements are especially beautiful. Bottom line—bring your third date HERE. The menu is sophisticated but not stuffy. Roast takes a lot of pride in its food, but honestly, we come here for the drinks.
Woodbridge Pub
Woodbridge Pub is a flavorful joint located in the Woodbridge neighborhood. The name is less than clever, we know, but the menu and drink selection is anything but ordinary. The ambience is pretty chill, but be prepared to use your “outdoor” voice: the ceilings are high and noise bounces off of every surface.
Oak City Grille
Oak City Grille is the perfect bar to go if your looking for a relaxed ambiance. It’s your typical neighborhood restaurant just walking distance from Main St., the theatres and the rest of downtown. Half the place is seated for the restaurant, and the other half is the bar also with high tables and chairs. Tuesday through Saturday nights there is live acoustic music playing, which adds to the chill vibe of Oak City. It’s the perfect to head for a cocktail any night of the week, but especially after those long hard workdays.
