Volunteer Programs
If it’s good enough for Brad and Angelina, it’s good enough for you. Volunteering gets you involved in your community, hooks you up with similarly socially-just peers, and gives mom something to kvel about. We’re not just talking the average sisterhood bake sale, either. We have sought out legit opportunities that you will find meaningful, for the beginner to the certified professional.
Got to give to get.. am I right?
Mittens For Detroit
Who
Volunteers are needed to help with box drops, mitten sorting and deliveries.
What
Mittens For Detroit is a community initiative whose sole purpose is to collect and distribute new, unused gloves and mittens to those in need – both children and adults – in metro Detroit.
Mittens For Detroit has been warming hands and hearts since the organization was founded in November 2010 by Erin Cummings, star of ABCʼs PanAm and Detroit 1-8-7, and a dedicated team of volunteers. A community initiative, MFD exists solely to provide new, unused mittens and gloves to those in need – both children and adults – in metro Detroit.
