A few days ago, I mentioned to a good friend I was leaving that night for London (England, not Ontario). I perked her interest, as she inquired why.
“Why do I always travel?” I hinted. “Jewish trip.” She replied, needing no other time to ponder.
My path of community has led me down so many roads (and flights) — and this may be the most unique yet. I am representing Detroit along with Leah Bold and Robb Lippitt in a truly global experience: discussing, defining and improving what community leadership means to other young leaders from across the world.
There are 40 of us here, representing cities from the US, Australia, London, Holland, South Africa and Israel. I will be updating with the experiences for the next few days to share with everyone back home as I become more motivated and proud by the moment.
