CNXT Spring Style Guide!
April 12, 2011 by communitynext

1. True Colors
Girl: The bright and patterned shirts are a fan favorite. Often found at Anthropologie in Birmingham or at Somerset.
Guy: young (or think they’re young) familiar faces around town can often be found sporting fun shirts from Tommy Bahama (especially on bowling nights).

2. Go Deep
Ahhh, nothing like the classic Deep V! A metro Detroit wardrobe essential. Available at American Apparel in Royal Oak (or A2/EL for you college kids).

3. Poised & Professional
Ladies — Have an important meeting? Plan on office must-haves: tights (patterned and un-patterned) from Pink Pump (located in Bloomfield Hills, Birmingham, Royal Oak, and Ann Arbor), boyfriend blazers (black is always a safe choice), and basic skirts to name a few.

4. Four-Eyed & Fabulous
Guess what? GLASSES ARE IN! So get the look and make people think you are smarter than you really are… This guy here is a glasses extraordinaire with his thick framed goggles (yes, he wears real goggles at dodgeball). Roland Optics in Southfield seems to be the “Go-To” place in the burbs!

5. Happenin' Hoodie
Stay warm and casual in a classic zip-up hoodie. All colors acceptable, especially black. Works for all heights as well… Ex) 5″2 females and 6 ft. tall males that frequent the area. Happenin’ Hoodies can be found at Caruso Caruso in Birmingham.
